Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots?

Isn't this such a "Hailee" book?
While Gregg was in Texas, he came across this and had to get it for Hailee! This is the cutest book ever and it reminded him so much of her!

This past week, we went to Big Bear again! This time we met up with Gregg's Dad and Cheryl. It was so much fun! They rented a cabin which made things sooo much easier with Hailee! She had tons of room to crawl around and stairs to climb! The cabin even had a BBQ, and we definitely used it alot!
It was alot of fun seeing Dave and Cheryl again! We haven't seen them since Hailee's blessing (and our move down to CA) and they were amazed at how much she has grown!
On Monday, we hiked up Cougar Crest Trail. Once we were at the top, we had a BEAUTIFUL view of the entire lake and Big Bear valley.
After the hike we went to the store to get groceries. We were on the isle with the hair dye and Gregg told his Dad "hey, lets dye your hair!" lol. He was joking about it, not thinking that his Dad would really do it, but he said "okay!" So, they picked out a great color for him!

Gregg has been hiding his hair talents from me!
While Dave's hair was processing, he kept trying to rub it all over Gregg. They were being such goof balls!
Hailee watching her Daddy and Grandpa being silly!
Ta Duh! No more gray hair! The new and younger looking Dave!

On Wednesday we went on a few different hikes. The first hike was the "Champion Lodge Pole Pine Trail". At the end of this hike is the "World Champion" tree! It was over 440 years old! It reaches a height of 110+ feet with a circumference of 22 1/2 feet! It was definitely the largest tree any of us have seen! From that hike we went onto the Siberia Creek Trail which was a beautiful hike! It took us by a stream and meadows of ferns! Along the trail was also this tree with a seat cut out into it!

Lastly, we went on the Castle Rock hike. It was pretty cool because we found a trail coming in from the back side, which we have never done before! We had a great week with Dave and Cheryl and can't wait to meet up with them again! They are always alot of fun!
