Our life...

I was reading one of my friend’s blog posts and she had said that you could get your blog bound into a book. So, since I hate scrapbooking and writing in journals, but I LOVE blogging, this is now going to be our "scrapbook/journal". So bear with me because I am going to be posting ALOT more pictures and random things that go on in our lives...especially Hailee's. So, what has been going on with the Hardy Family? I’ll start from the past and work our way to what we have been up to most recently.

On June 15th, Hailee’s FIRST tooth came in! It was so exciting! Then her second tooth came in about a week later! She looks so cute with her two pearly white teeth!
On July 11th, Hailee hit a HUGE milestone! She started crawling! It was so cute because at first, she would crawl with one leg straight out and the other one under her body. It was kind of like a tri-pod crawl. It only took her a few days to really get the “crawling thing” down. Now she crawls everywhere! It is so much fun and we absolutely LOVE that she is crawling! Other than the fact that we haven’t baby proofed the house yet, it does make everything so much EASIER because she is able to get to where she wants to go! Along with her crawling, she has also learned how to pull herself up on everything.
A few weeks ago for the first time, I went in Hailee’s room to get her out of bed, and she was sitting up playing with her toys! I couldn’t believe it! She is like Little Miss Independent now! Now she is standing up in her crib waiting for us to come and get her! It’s so amazing how fast they grow up!
The weekend of July 12th my Grandpa Ginos came into town. This same weekend our cousin Sheri and her daughter Alyssa were also in town. It was a lot of fun! We met up with everyone and went out to lunch. That evening, everyone came over for swimming and Wii.

Proof that Hailee LOVES her walker. She wore holes in her socks!
This past Saturday, July 19th, we met up with our friends Josh, Jessica and Riley Fisher at the beach. Other than the fact that it was FREEZING cold, we ended up in sweatshirts and Hailee wasn’t a fan of the whole beach experience, we had a lot of fun! We only stayed at the beach for a few hours, and then we headed to Denny’s to get some nice WARM food. Can you believe that? A freezing cold day at the beach in July? We sure cant!

Thinking about if she likes the sand...

First time in the ocean....it was SOOOO COLD!Daddy helping her get her feet wet...not quite sure if she's diggin this whole COLD water thing...Nope...she doesn't! I don't blame her though!
Watching her lil friend Riley with her dad Josh out in the water. Riley LOVES the ocean! She is one tough little girl!

Our little mermaid
Last night, July 20th, we went to Kip and Sarah’s house for dinner. It was a lot of fun! Hailee and their dog Echo loved each other! I was honestly shocked that Hailee wasn’t afraid of him at all! But why would she? She isn’t afraid of the vacuum, broom or any crazy thing that most babies are afraid of! She is sure a brave one!

Raining in July???

For the Fourth of July weekend, we went up to Gig Harbor, Washington to stay with Gregg's family. We had a great time! On the 4th, we went over to Carie's house and had a BBQ and fireworks show. Hailee did really good with the fireworks until they started getting bigger and louder, then she started to cry so we took her back inside. We ended up leaving early because it was an hour drive back to Gig Harbor and Hailee wasn't enjoying it anymore. During our stay up there, Gregg and I went on the most amazing trail run right in the forest! I regret not taking my camera with me because it was the most gorgeous run I have EVER been on! Next time I will definitely take it! We had a great time and look forward to going back again! Thanks Grandma "Duh" and "Pa" for having us come up and stay with you guys!

This Past Week...

This past week Hailee turned 7 months old! Yep, you read that right...she is SEVEN months old! Can you believe that? We sure can't! It's amazing how fast time fly's by! I say that every stage is my favorite, but this stage is really awesome! She hasn't quite figured out how to crawl yet (She can go a few inches forward or backwards, but she can't take off yet). I am loving it because she still depends on us to pick her up and move her to where she wants to go. Once she starts crawling, I will definitely be missing that alot! But it will be so exciting for when she can crawl!
Hailee also has 2 teeth now! Her second one just popped through today! Yeah! She looks so cute with her two pearly white teeth!

With the hot weather, we have been out by the pool EVERYDAY which has been so much fun! We have Hailee's little pool set up next to the big pool. This way, she can play all that she wants without having to have us hold her. Gregg is getting so dark! It's so not fair that he can get so tan in one day and it takes me several days! Oh well!
Lastly, today I got my hair cut. (Again!) A few weeks ago I decided to go short, and then this past week I decided to go even shorter and I LOVE it! Thanks Katie Stowell, you do such an AWESOME job!!!

Well, that's all for this week! Hope you guys all had a great week too!

A few months back, we joined some others and started the team "On Fire For a Cure" for Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society. Below is our team.

Everyone had to raise money for this event that went towards the cancer society foundation. This event was a 24 hour walk. Through out the day, you had to have one team member on the track walking until the next person came to relieve you. The goal was to have someone from your team on the track at all times. This past Saturday morning was opening ceremonies. The first lap was all of the cancer survivors. It was a very touching thing to watch these people walk around the track. There were people of all ages, little kids to old people. Its scary to realize that cancer can hit anyone at anytime. This event was very touching at made me realize that no one is immune from this nasty disease.

That evening, they had a "luminary ceremony" where they lined the entire track with luminary bags lit with candles. Each bag was dedicated to someone who has passed away or who survived. The bags were 3 deep, around the entire track and then up on the bleachers. I couldn't believe HOW MANY luminaries there were! It was so sad. While we were walking to track, there was a family in front of us walking, and the father was cheering out that he was a survivor of cancer when he came to his luminary bag. A minute later, he came across another bag and said "That's my son! That's my son!" And then he came to another one saying "That's my daughter! That's my daughter!" All three of them have survived that battle. It made me realize how blessed our family is with great health. I couldn't even imagine how hard life would be knowing that 3 people in your immediate family were faced with cancer.

Some of the team members at our team tent.

Hailee had a long day!
In the morning walking our laps. This was Hailee's first big event! Many more like this to come!

First lap with the cancer survivors.
On Friday, we had swim day #2. Rachel, Tina and their kids all came over! The weather was perfect and we all got some color! It was alot of fun! We definitely have to do this again!
So..... a while ago we bought Hailee a walker aka "The DEW Mobile"! She LOVES it! It is so nice that she is mobile (since she is not interested in crawling at all- You can hold her hands and she will walk...but crawling.....YA RIGHT! LOL) Well, since she has gotten pretty good in this, she has discovered that she can get into pretty much everything! I found her the other day getting into the trash! She pulled out a lettuce bag and was chomping away on it!
This is how Hailee has been lately! Wiped out from all of the fun she has been having!
