I Love Christmas Time!

I love Christmas time because there are always so many fun things to do with family and friends! My Mom, Sarah, Hailee and I started our fun on Friday the 19th by making our caramel apples. Now, these aren't the traditional caramel apples, these are caramel apples loaded with Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Cups, M&M's and Butterfingers candy! They probably weigh two pounds once we are done with them!

On Sunday Dec. 21st, our family went to go see the lights on Thoroughbread in Rancho Cucamunga! It was so much fun! We started off by getting some free hot chocolate provided by the Jewish Church (how nice of them!) It was so good, especially because it was so freezing out!
This was Hailee's first time experiencing the "real" cold and of course we weren't prepared. So, she ended up wearing several layers of clothes (tights and a long sleeve shirt under her pajamas which were under her jeans and a sweatshirt.) Luckily we found one of my mom's running beanies so Hailee got to wear that! (Don't worry, I did buy her some girlie ones today!)

Lastly, tonight (Dec. 22) we went out with my Mom, Ricky, the Hansen family and the Eddy family to do some Christmas caroling! It was fun! And Hailee looked soooo cute in her big puffy jacket! She reminded us of the little kid in the movie "The Christmas Story"!
Oh, and I just LOVE this picture! Today Hailee was laying on our bed reading a book! She is just sooooo cute and we love her so much! (Notice how talented she is....she can read a book upside down!)

Christmas Pictures

We had my sister in law Sarah (Sarah Lynn Photography) take our family pictures! I was actually really nervous that Hailee wouldn't cooperate. Ever since she has been walking, it is so hard to take any pictures of her....she never stands still long enough! She didn't do too bad yesterday, we didn't get a whole lot of smiles from her (I think because it was FREEZING COLD!) but we were able to get some good shots! I wish I could post ALL of them, but that would be about 100 pictures, so I'll just post a few of our favorite ones! Thank you so much Sarah!

We were running back to the car because we were FROZEN!

Ward Christmas Party

Last night we went to the ward Christmas party. They had the Bob Baker Marionette dolls come and perform. It was so cute! I think I had as much fun watching it as the kids did! Even Hailee liked it! We sat down on the ground in the front and she sat on my lap, kicking her legs to the beat of the music and smiled the whole time! One of the dolls even came and sat on her lap and she wasn't afraid! The only thing she was afraid of was Santa Claus!

Tasting a candy cane for the first time. She hated it and threw it onto the ground!

Our Little Hiker

This past Saturday we decided to take Hailee up to "our" hills for the first time. It's a place that I have pretty much grown up in. Ever since I was 3, my parents have taken us there to go hiking and running. Now that we have a little one, we decided that its time to introduce her to a place where she will see for many, many, many years! Hailee absolutely LOVED it! She collected so many rocks and held onto them so tightly. Both times that we have taken her she has not wanted to leave! I don't know what it is about dirt, but its just so ADDICTING! We LOVE it!
Welcome to the Main Street Hills
Today we took Hailee up to Skyline! Once again, she LOVED collecting rocks and banging them on the gate!

Christmas Project

For Christmas I decided to make Hailee and her cousin Elli a couple pairs of matching flannel pants! This is my first pair that I have finished and I am so proud of them! (Also, this is my first time doing "real" sewing too!) Just thought I would share!

Project Complete!
I am so happy to be done with these and can't wait to see Hailee and Elli wear them!

Playing Catch Up

I feel like I used to blog everyday, but lately things have just been so crazy busy! So tonight is the night I decided to finally play catch up!
On Nov. 24th we went to Disneyland for the night...and boy, do I have a story for you! Okay, so on our way to D-land, I gave Hailee some crackers to eat. When we were almost there, Hailee looked a cross between a tired and sick baby. Her head was total slumped to the side and she just looked wiped out. I just figured she was acting like this because we woke her up early from her nap. Anyways, as I was about to get her out of her car seat, I saw what I thought was a cracker chunk on her seat belt. Being a Mom who always just picks up her crumbs and pops them into my mouth, did just that. And oh WOW! Did I learn my lesson right there- it wasn't a cracker, it was THROW UP!!!! I started dry heaving and guzzled down water to try and get the taste of puke out of my mouth! That was the most disgusting thing ever!! I moved her blanket and there was throw up all over her lap too! Poor baby....and poor Mommy for eating it! Anyways, we ended up changing her clothes and stayed at Disneyland for a few hours. (Oh, it was so crowded that night too!) But, we did have alot of fun!

On Nov. 26th, Hailee turned ONE! We didn't do much, mainly because it was freezing cold and raining. But she did have a great time opening her presents. I took Hailee in for her 1 yr check up yesterday and she is in the 75th% for her height and weight. (22.5 lbs and 29 3/4 inch. long) We are so blessed that she is such a healthy and happy little baby!

I just have to post this picture because its of something I absolutely love...my husband and daughter...and I absolutely LOVE pictures of Hailee when she is sleeping!

On Dec. 1st, my parents broke out the Christmas decorations. It is always such a fun time getting the house ready for Christmas! Even Hailee had a fun time helping with the tree and carrying the bucket of cookies around for all of us to munch on! (Can you believe how big their tree is!?! It takes at least 3 people just to set it up! Awesome!)

And lastly, today for work we took our company pictures. It was alot of fun!

I don't know if you have noticed in a few of these pictures, but Hailee's new thing is to raise her arms up in the air when ever she sees a camera. She is such a silly girl!
